Sideways Mode 2.9.4

The Sideways Mode feature addresses a common frustration when using mobile devices while lying on your side. Traditionally, the screen orientation fails to adjust appropriately, leading to an inconvenient user experience. Sideways Mode allows for seamless switching between portrait and landscape orientations even when the device is held horizontally. This enhancement proves particularly beneficial for activities such as reading, web browsing, or streaming videos in a comfortable position.

Permissions

• Modify system settings: Enables changes to screen orientation and system auto-rotation.
• Draw over other apps / display system-level alerts: Facilitates alteration of incompatible applications’ screen orientations.
• Retrieve running apps / usage statistics: Assists in detecting applications that may not be compatible.
• Foreground service: Prevents the Android operating system from terminating the application during use.
• Run at startup: Ensures that control notifications are displayed when the device is powered on.
• Notifications: Provides updates regarding control notifications and app information.
• Small app overlay (Sony users only): Allows for the use of a compact application to change screen orientation.
